Carnivores Ice Age

Carnivores Ice Age is a first-person shooter video game developed by Action Forms. It is the third game in the Carnivores series. Unlike the previous games, in which the player must hunt dinosaurs, Carnivores Ice Age allows the player to stalk large Cenozoic mammals such as mammoths and saber-toothed cats.

Locations

McRath Island: This is a good map for the beginning hunter. Ice sheets and snowy taiga cover the island. Predators lurk in the shadows of the vegetation.

Ravaren's Bridge: This island is mainly conifer forest and swamp. An abandoned bridge lies to the north. Dense vegetation makes good cover for predator and prey alike

Ring of Infernus: This is a map for experienced hunters. Partly covered in tundra and partly in cold taiga, hunters should watch their back against hungry carnivores.

Dry Nodus Lake: This area is named after the salt lake on the island and is a map for intermediate hunters, and for good reason.

The Giant's Boot: This is a map for advanced hunters only! Named after the boot-shaped lake in the centre of the island, rolling hills make perfect hiding spots for dangerous prey.

Animals

Brontoteriy: This large herbivore looks something like a huge rhinoceros, but with a Y-shaped horn, which make this a dangerous animal when cornered.

Wild Boar: This piglike creature has a pair of long tusks that can make it dangerous when wounded. It is a plant-eater.

Woolly Rhinoceros: This prehistoric rhinoceros is covered in coarse fur, which keeps it warm in the cold environment of the polar regions.

Diatryma: This giant prehistoric bird is the velociraptor of the ice age, running toward the hunter and pouncing on him/her.

Wolf: This giant species of wolf can be very dangerous. Often, when the hunter approaches a dire wolf, it will jump around and bark playfully. But once the hunter shoots and misses, the wolf will pounce on him/her and toss the hunter around like a domestic dog would do with a chew toy.

Woolly Mammoth: This hairy elephantlike animal eats plants, but its huge size and long tusks make it dangerous when wounded. When killed, the hunter will be tossed around by a mammoth and occasionally slammed on the ground.

Megaloceros: This giant deer is usually placid but will use its wide antlers as dangerous weapons when provoked.

Smilodon: This giant cat is an extremely dangerous animal that will eat anything in its path. Beware its sharp claws and saber teeth.

Bear: This giant predator that stands up to ten feet tall on its hind legs is to be avoided at all costs.

Yeti: The dangerous Yeti was designed to be a boss-like animal similar to the T-Rex in the first two games.

Other Creatures

Pig Archaeopteryx

Weapons

Pistol: This weapon has a rapid fire rate and is effective on smaller prey.

Shotgun: The aiming area on this weapon is the centre of the sighting circle. This firearm is good for emergencies.

X-Bow: This is a silent weapon and can be fired several times without alerting an animal.

DB shotgun: This weapon is like the shotgun but can fire two shots almost simultaneously.

Rifle: This weapon, like the shotgun, has a sighting circle for better aim.

Sniper Rifle: This weapon has a scope for better aim. While the range goes no further than the binoculars, it is good for distance shots.

Equipment

Camouflage: This decreases the animals' ability to detect you through sight.

Cover Scent: This decreases the animals' ability to detect you through smell.

Radar: This pinpoints your location and the location of the animals you're hunting.

Double Ammo: This doubles the amount of ammunition a player takes on a hunting trip.

Supply Ship: Running out of ammo on a hunting trip is no longer a problem. Use this to command a spacecraft that will drop a fresh bag of ammunition.

Dinosaur Call: This will imitate the mating call of the animal you're hunting, luring it to you.

Binoculars: These allow to see more clearly over long distances.

Wind Indicator: This shows you the wind activity in the area.

Compass Shows you which direction you're going.
